If yo udo this, the rest time *2 is reduced.
So if you get this done on 11pm you have a left time of 7hours*2 is 14hours reduction. -

So, where are the "rest" 3 days?I think this works; maybe you didnt notice this but we implemented the reduction so that i changed the endtime not the running part.
Means if you researched 1hour and you buy a 4h reduction you still researched only 1 hour but the whole research needs "minus" 4hours.regards
