    Hello Spacepilots!

Time flies and our last endless universe is already 5 years old!

But we also want to create something new with the next endless universe; you should get to know new and unique challenges again!

Not every change is perfect, which is why we recently asked for your ideas on the topic of “Protection for small players”.

Today we want to introduce you to all the information and the new challenges in the soon-to-be-launched new universe “Infinity”!

    Special Parts:

    • The interdimensional transmitter will be activated at Easter.
    • The first gold event is at the beginning of March.
    • Fuel costs have been reduced by 90%. Subsequent reductions by specs remain.

Of course, a new universe needs a unique point. Here in the Infinity Universe, this is the new “Astral Fleets” feature. Read what exactly this is and what changes this feature brings with it in the following post.

We’re excited to hear your opinions and look forward to seeing new and “wild” strategies!

Here, too, we invite you to take a look at our discussion and question thread on the topic:

    regards

    Your SpaceInvasion team

    New Feature: Astral Fleets

    In advance:

The Spice limitation but also the fleet restoration is a very extensive topic, which is why we would like to expressly say again that we depend on your help and will make changes at any time if problems arise.

Over the last 15+ years, the topic of “fleet insurance” or “fleet reimbursement” has come up again and again. You already had a chance to test a version of fleet recovery in the Aurea universe and in some speed universes.

With the Infinity Universe there will be a new version of fleet restoration in the form of our Astral Fleets!

In short, after every battle or fleet loss, you will get 90% of the fleet back after 7 days. In order to be able to offer this, the team and the consultant team have come up with a system of new rubblefields and a limit for spice theft in order to prevent pushing from the system as much as possible.

    What are Astral Fleets?

    • 90% of losses will be blocked as Astral fleets for 7 days. You can then call them back to your planet.
    • You will receive a separate astral entry listed for each battle report
    • For inactive players, only 75% will be restored as Astral Fleet
    • This will also be restored for AA (Alliance Attack) fleets for each player
    • After 7 days there is the option to recall these fleets for 3 days. This takes 10 minutes to 60 minutes.
    • If you have not recalled your fleets after 10 days (also applies to inactive users), the system will do this. So this results in a return flight time of 2 hours to 24 hours.

That means I can lose a maximum of 10% of my fleets?

Exactly, as long as you are actively playing you always get 90% of your fleets back. However, these are blocked for 7 days.

Inactive players also get their fleets back?

Yes, 75% of the fleets of inactive players will also be refunded.

If the player does not come online again, it will automatically be called out of the astral status after 10 days and can therefore be shot again for all players.

    Rubble fields after a fight

In order to prevent pushing from the system as much as possible, there is now a new rubblefield distribution system.

    • Normal rubblefields after battle
      • A normal rubblefield with a size of 5% of all (including spice and pig iron) losses from the battle is created
      • Defensive units continue to enter the rubblefield according to the “old” pattern. (without pig iron and spice, with 40%)
    • Special (Instantiated) Debris Field
      • A separate rubble field is created, available exclusively to the player, equal to 5% of all the opponent's losses.
      • This field can only be seen by the player who owns it
      • This rubblefield is named after the player who suffered the losses. This means that if a player named “SpaceInvasionPilot” attacks you, you will find a field named “SpaceInvasionPilot” afterwards as long as the player had losses due to your defense.
      • no more defensive units enter here
      • In an AA (Alliance Attack), the distribution of the 5% rubble field is proportionally distributed among the participants according to the spice value of the fleets. (for both the attackers and the defender per player)
        • Example: An AA made up of 5 people flies towards a player. A rubble field is created after the battle for each of the 5 attackers; depending on the division of the fleets, the 5% of the defender's losses are divided into the AA members. The defender also receives 5 fields, these 5% are also divided according to ship distribution in the AA.
      • Special fields are deleted after 14 days as long as no new resources are added to the field.

Why these particular rubble fields by player?

See the next point about spice limitation. This is the only way we can prevent possible pushing.

What is the order of recycling?

The new fields (special) are arranged after normal fields. This means that instantiated (universal) fields are collected first, then normal fields and then the new special rubble fields.

In addition, the special rubble fields are collected from “old” to “young”. So the fields that have been in the position for the longest time are collected first. If you are unable to collect anything from this player, the field will be collected proportionately or not at all.

What does the bar in the galaxy map behind the new rubble fields mean?

There you will see how much you have already collected from the player as a % progress bar. If the bar is orange or red it means that you have already collected a very large amount. You can hover over the player name to see the exact value that you are already or are still allowed to collect.

    The spice limitation:

There is now a limit on how much Spice you can steal from a player in a period of time (3 months), or can recycle.

    • The value is made up as follows: 10% of the opponent's Spice value and the difference between you and the player.
      • Example: You have 1 billion spice value, your opponent has 950 million. Calculation: 950*0.1*(950 million / 1 billion i.e. 0.95) = 90.25 million spice possible
      • Example: You have 1 billion spice value, your opponent has 100 million. Calculation: 100*0.1*(100 million / 1 billion i.e. 0.1) = 1 million spice
    • This possible amount of Spice can be obtained by the player by stealing resources from the planets or recycling rubble fields (special, see above).
    • The value is updated hourly (with the Spice ranking) and can become larger or smaller.
    • Every 3 months the value you looted will be reset. This means you can steal spice from your opponents again.
    • Spacia has no spice limitations
    • You can see the exact value of how much you have already collected on the player profile, by mouseover on a player name, before launching an attack or on the galaxy map (% value).

As you can see, the concept changes some very fundamental features of SpaceInvasion.

During development, we always attached great importance to ensuring that this system could be understood and used easily and quickly.

What happens after an attack if the opponent loses a lot of spice?

Astral fleets are included in Spice's account value calculation. Nevertheless, the maximum achieved spice value is used for each player.

If a player loses a lot of fleets or deletes planets, this will not be included in the Spice loot. However, the player can steal more from other (smaller) players because his own Spice value (and not the maximum value) is used for his steal limitation amounts.

Why is theft also used in the limitation?

This limitation is intended to reflect damage. This damage comes not only from fleet shooting, but also from theft. It also serves as protection for small players.

    Also protection for smaller ones?

In addition to refunding the fleets, we were also able to implement protection for small players in addition to pushing.
