    Hello Spacepilots!

Today we want to address 2 major points.

    Alien Waves and Reward

We have already made changes here in the past. With Alien Spec 4, players can now get even more into this feature. We like that there is another big specialization in SpaceInvasion, but we want to adjust it further in relation to the Miner and Fleeter.

Each Alliance will have a weekly limit of 4,000 Mentor Stars that can be obtained from the Alien feature. Means, rookies can always give you mentor stars, but from the alien wave you can only collect a maximum of 4,000 mentor stars per week in total.

We are still discussing internally which other solutions could be used here. We don't see this approach as the best.

Furthermore, we will change the aliens in general. The change will currently have the effect that we will pay out a maximum of 10 billion Spice as reward per player per attack wave as maximum value. This is just a temporary fix, we're working on a solution to get you earning more Spice again, but it will take some time.

    New players in our community

A very serious issue for us.

We've seen increasing numbers of new players, from Steam and also through promotions, dropping out shortly after hitting the AZ threshold of 2M points.

We picked a few cases, but didn't see any heavy farming or other annoyances in the game. There were attacks, but we were also surprised at how quickly players stopped playing.

As a result, former team members started the self-experiment and created accounts in different universes. (Nexus and RETRO)

Unfortunately, what we had seen in the first samples was the case again. As soon as 2 million points were reached, the spy probes and attacks came. (we're really talking about the hour right after reaching, from players with well over 1 billion points)

At this point, I would just like to mention that our testers' contacts with the attacking players were anything but respectful. "This is a war game, go play marbles!"

We thought long and hard as a team, even had a black board as a suggestion.

In the short term we will now add a new AZ18. AZ16/17/18 are placed in such a way that protection is guaranteed up to 10 million points. This is the threshold from rookie to mentor.

    AZ16: from 10 million points

    AZ17: from 25 million points

    AZ18: from 50 million points

All game features based on attack zones are adjusted. White blackholes are now available up to 2 million points.

Here, too, we have decided on an interim solution.

We would like to redesign the AZ system for RETRO and Nexus in a later step. The first AZs are, for example, in our inserted attack protection.

Furthermore, there will be a "Bad-Ass" or an honor system in the future. The SpaceInvasion team together with our consultant team are working on possible solutions. You will receive information as soon as we have worked out a concept for it.

Finally, a few personal words on the subject of “new players”:

The team, many alliances, many individual players and myself are thinking about how we can get the galaxies full again. I've seen great concepts for mentoring systems, discord solutions, and help posts from players who aren't even on the team. I think it's great that so many thoughts are being given.

And on the other hand, players who play 2 weeks will be treated as described above. Yes, the system allows it and yes, SpaceInvasion is a war game. But is it really worth attacking a player who gives you 10M Spice when you see the rewards from the alien waves at the same time?

Spacia, Alien features, regular events, and all this unfortunately does not help that small players are farmed here for a minimal amount of spice.

This negates my work on the features but more importantly the mentoring work of so many alliances and trying to get the universes fuller.

These changes to the system itself will present limitations. Unfortunately, we need this, as the tests have shown us. However, we are trying to find solutions so that players who do not attack rookies will not have any restrictions in their future game. Players who want to attack players who have less than 10% of their points (just a value we're currently using in our reviews) will see significant penalties from this in the future.

Please reconsider your game - we as a community should be happy about every new member, whether friend or enemy!

    regards

    Your Space Invasion Team
