    Hello Spacepilots,

We have long felt the desire of the community for a chat system (as in SpaceInvasion 2) for SI-Classic. The team and Dschibait have thought about the chat extensively are now able to finally introduce the new chat system for SpaceInvasion Classic!

For those who are not interested in such a system: You can disable the chat completely so you are not affected by it. No information about your online times is passed on to other players, nor is it possible to see the online status through private messages in the chat. So you can decide for yourself whether you want to "show" that you are online or not.

In the game, you now have the chat button in the Intergalactic planet overview. With this button you can completely hide or show the chat.
The chat window itself is moveable with the white "bar" in the upper area. You can also move the window with the right mouse button (hold).
With the round "dot" in the lower right corner you can adjust the chat in size.
In the upper right-hand area there are still the buttons for the settings and minimize the chat window. In the settings, we would like to point out "main-content-position". With this option you now have the opportunity to move the content of the game in the main window (which is centered by default) to the right or left to have more space for the chat on one of the two sides.
We hope you have enough opportunities to use the chat in the usual SI-Classic environment.

A chat system has, of course, also a certain degree of responsibility to bring along. This is why we have already started to search for chat moderators. There is no reason for these moderators to no longer actively participate in the universe.
We would like, however, to clarify the questions and concerns, explain what all moderators are able and what the GOs / GAs or TLs are able to do.

    Moderators can:

    • Lock people out of the chat by the livechat and the chatlogs of our global chat
    • Review and purge players whose chat messages were reported.

    Moderators can not:

    • Review reported alliance or whisper chat messages
    • access any logs from alliance chats
    • Distribute game locks or modify/view any game related data. For example, no "IP addresses" can be viewed

If you have any questions, wishes, suggestions or concerns, we would like to invite you to our discussion thread:

    Have fun chatting!
