Athanor, new Guard Season and Bloodlust Transfer

  • Hello Damorians!

Many of you have already encountered the wild animals. But we have even more planned for Damoria this year!

And today, we want to take a big step towards the next update phase.

Today, you will receive information about the new Guard Season and the new Alchemist expansion. In addition, you will receive the previously announced information about the Bloodlust world transfer, as well as an opportunity to see what this would currently look like in the game.

    The New Guard Season

The new Guard Season starts on Friday at 18:00. It will continue into the new year. There is a new danger in this season: Death Missions!

You can send your Guard Knights on these new missions. However, there is a chance that your knight may actually die. If that happens, all level progress and all items the knight was carrying will be lost.

So these missions really need to be worth the risk, right? Absolutely! A new item tier, “Angel-Touched”, can only be obtained from Death Missions. These powerful items are a massive upgrade compared to everything you have equipped so far. And the best thing about these items: they are not destroyed if your knight dies during a Death Mission. Instead, the items become “damaged” and can be repaired again using Thalers.

If a Guard Knight successfully completes a Death Mission, the knight receives a medal that records the number of successfully completed Death Missions.

The following additional changes have also been made to the Guard feature:

    • There are new rankings for the highest item value of a knight and for the highest number of successfully completed Death Missions.
    • You can now reroll missions for 1 Gold.
    • There are now buttons for faster equipping and unequipping of items.
    • You can recruit 3 additional Guard Knights using Gold, who will fight for you during this season. If one of these Gold Guard Knights dies, you do not have to spend Gold again. You can simply recruit the knight again.

    Quintessences and the Athanor

The Athanor, a large, eternally burning Alchemist's furnace, becomes available with an Alchemist at level 50 and all 3 special research paths at a minimum of level 10.

To operate this furnace, you need to provide several things. In addition to a large amount of resources, you will also need Amber, Dragon Scales and Glory.

Once started, the Athanor extracts Quintessence, which you can then use in this castle for your development or your strategy. There are 4 paths available to you:

Doctrine of War: Grants you new offensive possibilities, more speed, carrying capacity and access to the new unit, the “Amber Knight”. You read that correctly: Damoria now has a new unit that can be recruited using 1 Amber of each type. This powerful knight can deal serious damage, but more importantly, it is a bulwark. Extremely high defensive values and the strength of Amber make castle walls look like paper.

Doctrine of Defense: This path is all about defense. Strengthen your units, strengthen your walls and prepare yourself for battle. See when alliance members are being attacked so that you can support them, and specialize your medics for immediate healing after a hard battle!

Doctrine of the Workshop: Improve your resource production, troop recruitment and building construction for building or rebuilding your castles. Larger storage capacities and increased carrying capacity for your merchants prepare you for every situation during the development phase.

Energy of Nature: You gain a better understanding of the environment and the animals that inhabit Damoria. Wild animals will avoid this castle, and you will be able to defend yourself more effectively against dragons and bandits. Your aura will become so powerful that wild animals will not even attack your friends anymore!

    Bloodlust Transfer

The Bloodlust world is actually scheduled to end on December 27, 2026, at 12:00 CET. Afterwards, every Bloodlust account will be transferred to both The Crusades (World 1) and Venturia (World 2). Below you will find the complete and binding rules for the transfer.

    First, regarding the end date:

Since 2 Easter events have introduced the new Settlements in the meantime, and these will be part of the transfer, we want to give all players another opportunity to increase their holdings here. We have therefore decided to move the end date of the Bloodlust world to April 25, 2027, at 16:00 CEST.

    Binding Nature of This Thread

The rule that has been stated in the game rules since 2021 continues to apply:

"For game, forum, or other Damoria-related planning of updates, features or other changes, only statements in the 'Announcements' area are taken into the game. Should a question from you result in a change or expansion of the official statement from the announcement area, insist that this should be changed in the official post. Articles from the FAQ area are not considered official posts."

For rules and conditions, only statements published in the Announcements section are therefore authoritative. We need to make this clear once again because there is unfortunately renewed confusion, rumors and incorrect information circulating in the game and the community. For the transfer, this means:

    • This thread is the only binding source regarding the Bloodlust transfer. It supersedes all previous statements — including earlier official announcements where they are clarified or specified here.
    • Replies from team members in discussion, help or other threads are intended as assistance but are not binding. A statement only becomes binding once it is included here or in a later official announcement.
    • Anyone wishing to refer to a rule must refer to this thread — not to quotations from other threads, screenshots or memories.
    • Changes and additions will only be made here or in the official section and will be marked with a date.

    What Will Be Transferred?

    1. Basic Principle

    • The transfer creates a copy of your Bloodlust account — in both target worlds (The Crusades and Venturia). The calculation is performed separately for each target world, based on the respective limits and your existing holdings in that world.
    • The transfer will take place through a Transfer Assistant, as with the World 2 transfer in 2021. We will announce the exact schedule — including the world shutdown, Transfer Assistant, placement and attack protection — in a separate announcement in due time.
    • The Transfer Overview is already available on Bloodlust in the game's left-hand menu. It shows you live what would happen to your account if the transfer took place today — including a Blood Mark preview and planning mode.
      • We have checked this carefully. Any possible errors in the planner explicitly do not override the rules stated in this thread.

    2. Castles

    • Transfers will fill your holdings up to a maximum of 100 normal castles and 30 Baldur/event castles in the target world — your existing holdings in that target world count towards these limits.
    • You may transfer at least 10 castles in all cases, even if the limits in the target world have already been reached.
    • You choose which castles are transferred yourself in the Transfer Assistant.
    • Amber Castles are event castles and count towards the limit of 30.
    • Settlement Castles: The status of the castle after its Settlement Protection has expired determines which limit it counts towards. Without a special status, it counts as a normal castle (limit of 100); with Gold/Ice/Mage status, it counts as an event castle (limit of 30).
    • The Throne will not be transferred, as this building exists only on Bloodlust.
    • The new Quintessence feature will be transferred together with the selected castles.

    3. Settlements

    • Your Settlements will be transferred — filling your holdings up to the Settlement limit of 60 in the target world. Your existing Settlements in that world count towards this limit.
    • Regarding the wording “up to a maximum of 50” from the 2025 Easter Event: this referred to the ownership limit that applied at the time — it was not possible to own more than 50. Since 2026, the limit has been 60, and the current limit also applies to the transfer.
    • During the transfer, transferred Settlements also count towards the castle limits stated in section 2 (without a special status → limit of 100; Gold/Ice/Mage → limit of 30).
    • Transferred Settlements retain their Settlement status together with their entire remaining protection duration, including years extended with Gold, as well as all protection-year bonuses.

    4. Troops

    • Up to 100% of your troops will be transferred — filling up your troop score in the target world until your total troop score there (existing + transferred troops) reaches the average troop score of the top 20 players in that target world.
    • The troop score is an internal value assigned to each unit — it is not the military rank and it is not your points score. You do not need to be in the top 20 in any ranking; their average merely defines the upper limit.
    • At least 10% of your troop holdings at the time of the transfer, for each unit type, are guaranteed to be transferred — even if your account in the target world is already above the top-20 average. Your current troop holdings are what matter, not the total number of troops you have ever recruited. There is no “30% rule”, as some players believe, and there never has been one.
    • Troops are automatically transferred proportionally across all troop types. You cannot freely choose individual troop types. The Amber Knight will also be transferred.
    • You do not need to gather your troops in one place. All troops from all castles and Settlements are counted, including troops currently travelling. The transferred amount will be assigned to the castles that are transferred.

    5. Premium and the Mage

    • Rewards from the Mage under the “Rewards” tab will be transferred — to both worlds, just like the rest of the account.
    • Active Premium durations (Master/Builder, upgrades, assistants, packages) will be transferred — but only to ONE target world of your choice. You select the world in the Transfer Assistant; any existing durations in that target world will be extended accordingly.
    • The reason for this is simple: the transfer copies your game progress. Purchased durations, however, are services and will not be duplicated — otherwise, every duration purchased before the world ends would effectively be granted twice.

    6. What Will NOT Be Transferred

    • Bloodlust world Gold. Global Gold is account-wide and therefore does not need to be transferred.
    • The Upgrade Storage. Unused items such as building slots, storage refills and similar items expire when the world ends. If you want to retain their benefits, use them on your castles beforehand — upgrades that have already been applied will, of course, continue to have an effect through the castle copy.
    • Resources from events, for example Amber, Glory, Dragon Scales, Guard Knights, Crusade rewards, Easter Eggs, gifts and other event-related resources, bonuses or items.
    • The Throne.
    • Undistributed Blood Friends Gold (30% distribution to up to 3 friends) — distribute it before the end date on April 25, 2027.

    Blood Marks

    • For castles and troops that cannot be transferred because of the limits, you will receive Blood Marks. They will be credited separately in the respective target world, where they can also be redeemed after the Bloodlust world has ended.
    • The amount depends on the size of the castles that are not transferred and the amount of excess troops. We deliberately do not disclose the exact calculation formula — you can see at any time in the in-game Transfer Overview how many Blood Marks your account would currently receive.
      • Please note that the new Quintessence feature will be included in the castle-size calculation due to the substantial investment required for it. This means that a castle with researched Quintessences will also result in more Blood Marks.
    • Important: If you give away or demolish castles before the transfer, you also give up the Blood Marks you would otherwise have received for them. The pushing rules remain unchanged.

What You Can Get for Blood Marks

    BonusPrice in Blood Marks
    100 Amber of each type1
    100 Dragon Scales1
    Building slot (normal castle)2
    Building slot (Baldur Castle)4
    Building slot (Amber Castle)5
    Free Mage Spell2
Storage refill (fills storage up to a maximum of 50 billion per resource type)50
Building slot (Main Castle) — maximum of 2025
    Treasury refill100

Important regarding the storage refill: A storage refill fills your storage up to a maximum of 50 billion of each resource type — regardless of how far your storage buildings have been upgraded. No resources will be added beyond this limit.

Blood Marks can be redeemed in the respective target world after the Bloodlust world has ended. The price list is also already available in the in-game Transfer Overview.

    Reservation

The purpose of the transfer is to allow players to earn a good account or additional benefits — not to give Bloodlust players a top-10 account, or an even stronger account, in the target worlds. These rules apply to normal, non-manipulated growth. If issues become apparent that could result in accounts larger than those already existing in the target worlds, we reserve the right to make changes to the transfer system. In cases where interpretation is required, the Damoria team will make the final decision.

If you have any questions, uncertainties or problems, please contact us through the support form!

    Best regards,
    Your Damoria Team

  • Hello Damorians,

today, there are five adjustments regarding the Bloodlust transfer — followed by a few personal words from me.

Changes as of September 5, 2026 (binding; these supplement the original transfer announcement):

    1. Settlements will be handled separately from the castle limit during the transfer.
They have their own allowance: you may fill up to a total of 60 settlements on the destination world — any settlements you already own there count toward that total. In the transfer assistant, you will choose which settlements to take with you separately from your castles; settlements that are not transferred will grant Blood Marks.

The guarantee of at least 10 castles remains unchanged and applies exclusively to castles.

    2. Compensation for everyone:
During the next Easter event, every player on every world will be able to fill up to 60 settlements without any additional limitation — including players who have never played on Bloodlust.

This means that a World 1 player without a Bloodlust account will also be able to reach 60 settlements next year. Nobody should retain a permanent advantage because of an earlier wording — and likewise, nobody should be permanently disadvantaged by it.

    3. Amber will be transferred at 100%.
Your complete Amber balance will be transferred — to both destination worlds.

    4. The Upgrade Storage will no longer expire.
It will be transferred in full to ONE destination world of your choice. Splitting it between both worlds is not possible.

The same rule applies to purchased and gifted benefits as it does to Premium time: they will not be duplicated.

    5. Amber Castles will count as normal castles during the transfer.
They therefore count toward the limit of 100 castles and no longer toward the limit of 30 event castles.

This means that the transfer now follows the same counting rules used everywhere else in the current game: for construction queues as well (100 normal / 30 Baldur Castles per 24 hours), and when conquering castles, Amber Castles count as normal castles.

The statement “Amber Castles are event castles” from the original transfer announcement is therefore no longer valid.

The transfer overview in the game already reflects all five of these changes.

    Why the change regarding settlements?

The wording from the 2025 Easter event — “All settlements may be transferred – up to a maximum of 50” — was ambiguous.

What I intended was that settlements could be transferred up to the limit that applied at the time and within the overall castle limits. Many of you, however, understood the wording as a separate allowance in addition to the castles.

Both interpretations are understandable based on that wording. And if something I wrote reasonably allows for two different interpretations, that should not work to your disadvantage.

For that reason, the more player-friendly interpretation will apply from today onward. At the same time, to make sure this does not create a permanent one-sided advantage, the Easter adjustment will apply to all worlds.

There is one point that is important to me: this decision should not create the impression that it is better not to ask when something is unclear and then later rely on whichever interpretation turns out to be more favorable. That is not something I want to encourage.

So I want to be very clear: this is an exception, not a precedent.

The overall context at the time also allowed for a different interpretation. That is exactly why I want to avoid situations in the future where questions like these have to be resolved through interpretation in the first place.

If conditions are unclear in the future, we will consider each case individually. Please do not rely on unspoken assumptions — ask. A question that has been asked and answered creates clarity and is binding.

    A few personal words

The Bloodlust world was created based on the concept of the GeNeSIS universes from SpaceInvasion: a fast, time-limited world designed to bring players back, with its results eventually carrying over into the permanent worlds.

The concept works — but it has one known weak point: when a transfer develops over the course of two years, detailed questions inevitably come up that nobody thinks about at the beginning.

Some of those points I defined precisely, some too briefly — and some, such as the Upgrade Storage, simply did not occur to me at the time.

There is also something I need to acknowledge: questions about Amber Castles and the Upgrade Storage were raised in the discussion section, and those questions remained unanswered.

If someone takes the time to ask a question and receives no answer, they are right to be disappointed. That is on me.

At the same time, I ask for some understanding regarding the current situation: at the moment, I am handling most of Damoria on my own — development, support, and community management. Because of that, I simply cannot reliably read every single discussion thread.

The announcement section is therefore the binding source of information, and the most reliable way to get an answer is through a support ticket. Tickets do not get lost in discussions, you can track their status, and they reliably reach me.

So if a question remains unanswered by me, that does not mean it has been rejected. In most cases, it simply means I missed it — please feel free to ask again.

And one final word about the tone of the past few days:

Constructive criticism is welcome, and it has helped bring about these changes. Insults and personal attacks — whether made publicly or sent directly to me — do not change a single rule and will not receive a response from me.

We will never manage to word every single announcement in a way that everyone understands in exactly the same way. But how we deal with misunderstandings like these is something we can influence together.

If something is unclear or feels too vague, please ask — even one time too many rather than one time too few. I will clarify it here, with a date and in a binding form.

Thank you for reading — and thank you to everyone who kept the discussion constructive.

    Best regards,
    Dschi
