Changes, Updates and new Outpost!

  • 🚀 Hello Spacepilots!

Today we have another round of updates, major announcements, and new information about the relocation of our services.

First, a quick note: Unfortunately, there have been delays in completing the fiber connection at our location. Originally, the plan was to move the services to the new server in May. The new server is already ready and able to handle your requests.

However, we do not want to carry out the move using a backup connection. For that reason, we have decided to postpone the move to June. We are currently planning for mid-June. You will receive more details in time.

Still, we have prepared several exciting updates for you. So feel free to read on!

    🔧 General Updates

We have made several changes and improvements:

    • It is now no longer possible to use the Recycling Yard via Merchant+ if an attack is less than 60 seconds away.
The reason for this is that some tactics involved players recycling defensive units at the very last second and then sending, teleporting, or spending the Spice. This led to harassment attacks.
However, one thing remains important: As long as a player is online, you must always expect that resources may be spent, teleported, or otherwise used during a harassment attack.
    • Merchant+ now also exchanges resources when starting research if the required resources are not available.
    • Particle Beam attacks are now taken into account when evaluating harassment attacks.
This means: If a smaller player attacks a larger player with Particle Beam attacks, the harassment protection for the smaller player is removed.
    • Issues have been fixed that made it possible to use the Synth Former, Synth AI Core, and Super Computer while in vacation mode. The construction of these buildings is now also paused correctly.
    • Issues with asteroid destruction in the shop have been fixed. These could previously cause a planet to not be deleted correctly afterward.
    • An issue has been fixed where it was not possible to cancel a building construction if it had less than one second of remaining construction time.
    • More rewards have been unlocked for the Boss Ranking Week.
      Alliances:
      • Rank 2 now receives a 5% bonus.
      • Rank 3 now receives a 2% bonus.
    • Players:
      • Ranks 11 to 15 now also receive a 5% reward.
    • Rubblefields are now displayed more clearly in the galaxy with a blue glow. If the rubblefield contains parts of an instanced field, this glow will be shown in orange.
    • The tech tree has been modernized, and the detail pages for ships and defense units have been expanded with stats.
    • New filter functions have been added to the fleet overview under fleet commands, making it easier to find specific flights.
    • The construction menus now include a new chart display for ship and defense values.
    • The planet overview in the command center has been modernized.
    • The restriction preventing players with fewer than 10,000 points from sending ingame messages has been removed.
    • A new option has been added to the settings, allowing players to switch between new, modernized images and the older classic images.
    • New images have been created for buildings, research, fleets, and defense units.
      • When creating the new images, we tried to stay close to the old style. At the same time, we deliberately decided to adjust some designs. This was partly for economic reasons, but also to make the function and structure easier to understand.
    • In addition, we have made the Synth system more convenient to use.
Synth Former and Synth AI Core can now be managed more quickly through new mass actions. Collecting, filling, or starting Synth buildings is available once per day free of charge.
For players with VIP Level 13, these Synth convenience functions are unlocked completely free of charge.

    🛰️ Outpost Wave Event

Starting on June 12, we would like to host another Outpost Event alongside the Football World Cup. This time, we are introducing several changes that have been requested by the community for quite some time.

    June 2026, SpaceInvasion Classic:
The time has finally come – there will be new ships!

Before the excitement gets too high: For now, these new ships will only be available on the outpost.

Whether and how these ships may later be added to the existing universes has not yet been decided. We first want to see how you like our ideas and how SpaceInvasion could develop through them.

    ⚡ New Feature: Energy Container

The next Wavebreaker Event on the outpost will introduce a new feature: the Energy Container.

This opens up new tactical possibilities:

    • You can fill the Energy Container on the outpost with energy.
    • Ships lost on the outpost can be restored immediately with the help of the Energy Container.
    • With 1 energy from the Energy Container and three times the cost of the respective ship, you can immediately restore ships lost in battle.
    • This allows you to bypass the minimum construction time of the ships.
    • The maximum number of ships can still only be increased through the minimum construction time limitation.
    • However, once you have lost ships in battle, you can immediately replenish those losses.

    🛠️ New Ship Evolutions

We have introduced so-called Ship Evolutions.

Certain ships receive expansions or evolutions that give them completely new uses.

    These variants have:

    • their own construction requirements
    • different construction costs
    • new tactical possibilities
    • and, in some cases, completely different roles in battle

You are probably eager to see which ships we have added in the first step.

If you want to be surprised, you should stop reading here. :)

    New Ships and Evolutions

    Small Killer

The Small Killer is an improved version of the Small Fighter.

It is mainly designed for large battles and can become an extremely powerful weapon in large numbers.

    Star Cruiser

The Star Cruiser receives two variants right away:

    • Titan Carrier
    • Ship Hangar

    Titan Carrier

The Titan Carrier offers a powerful alternative to the Transmitter, but it is no longer a combat ship.

    Ship Hangar

The Ship Hangar is a strong battle station, but it is also easy to destroy.

    Collector Swarm

The Recycler also receives an evolution: the Collector Swarm.

It is a combination of many drones that can collect debris fields faster and more precisely than ever before.

    Void Shield

The Void Shield is an evolution of the Battleship.

This ship has the ability to act as a true damage absorber in battle. It protects your other ships by redirecting all battle damage to the Void Shield.

    Doombringer

The final major modification is the Doombringer.

This evolution of the Destroyer is an ultimate attack weapon. However, it requires a lot of protection, as it has very little structure and weak shields itself.

    Feedback

We are very excited to see how you will use the new ship units in battle against the aliens.

With the Void Shield, which introduces a true protection function in battle for the first time, the new strategic options, and the quick restoration of lost ships, we are very much looking forward to your feedback on the next Outpost Event.

Please feel free to share your feedback on the graphics, changes, and new features in the discussion thread.

Regarding the images, we know of course that tastes differ. Not everyone will like every image equally. However, we hope that we can excite both new players and long-time SpaceInvasion players with the new images and features.
