Some of you have complained that they had sent us a support-mail via the
link on the Damoria home page (Bigpoint form) but have not yet received
an automatic answer nor a manual response.
At the same time, we have found that there are some mails sent to us
via the Bigpoint form to our ticket system that contained neither the
sender, subject or content.
After several tests, we were able to reproduce the problem:
- If certain special characters are used in the mail text (eg ~) the email will not be sent to us at all.
- If certain HTML code is used (eg <a href="...">, that can happen when copying eg error messages), we receive the mail without any subject, sender, or content.
We find this very annoying because the sender is suggested by a green hook that his request has been successfully sent to us.
Since we have no control over the programming of this form, we can only
recommend at the moment that you avoid using unnecessary special
characters or HTML in the mail text to ensure that your complete e-mail
gets to us.
We have reported this issue and hope for a quick solution.
